We are living in the best of times and the worst of times. It all depends on how you look at it and how you respond to our changing world. This segment will address an issue that we all are familiar with, especially if we have children in schools, mainly public schools. Even if you do not, and you are a Conservative, Patriot, or just a Concerned Citizen (we’ll call you a CC) you have seen over the span of a few decades the decline in the public schools system as it pertains to the quality of teaching, be it curriculum or staff. Here’s an example:

A sixth grade teacher in Georgia, Johnetta Benton, felt the need to venture way off script and the regular curriculum to poison the minds of her students, OUR CHILDREN, to teach hate against our duly elected sitting President. Now we get it that she has a problem with the last election, but instead of her taking the time to educate our students in basic academics, she felt embolden to use the time to vent her hate with vitriol to tender young hearts and minds.
The teacher was more or less given a pat on the back for her 15 minutes of fame on the main stream liberal media. What does this mean? Simply that people like Johnetta Benton have been given a green light to continue an indoctrination (to left leaning thinking) for our children.
Now, if this doesn’t jive with you and you believe because you don’t have the funds to take little Clarence or your little princess Monica out of public school cheer up! You Have A Choice. Thanks to our Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, we have a broader range of options to choose from. If your child is in a school that is under performing, the parents have the right to transfer the child to another school. (please visit her site when you can – https://www.ed.gov/ ) Here is a statement from the education gov’t site:
“If a child attends a Title I school that has been identified by the state for school improvement, corrective action, or restructuring, parents can choose to send the child to another public school that is not so identified. Districts must let parents know each year if their child is eligible to transfer to another school, and districts must give parents more than one transfer option if more than one exists.” (https://www2.ed.gov/parents/schools/choice/definitions.html)
Now, here’s a wonderful thing. There is a choice for online public schooling! Yes. You can still have your child enrolled in a public school but have them out of the class room and online. Even the poorest of families can take advantage of this offer. Much responsibility for the success of the child lies squarely upon the parent(s) or guardian. It takes discipline for both student and parent(s) to enforce the learning activities to keep up with the set academic curriculum. Who wouldn’t take this advantage? This takes away the reason to complain if we don’t like what is happening in the schools. PUBLIC SCHOOL CHOICE.
