Do I know You?
It is one thing to know You in a manger as a helpless infant, but do I hear the angels singing at your birth? Can I hear the power in the angels’ wings and the force of their movement as they celebrated? Oh, the worship that was happening in Heaven! The voices raised in Hallelujahs from the Heavenly choir must be echoing still!
Do I know You as the creator of the Heavens and the Earth? That You made the stars and call them by name?
Do I know that from the heights of Heaven to the depths of the oceans You are there?
Do I know the Majestic Power of Your spoken Word that produced something from nothing and brought all creation into existence?
Ah, Lord!
I know You from these human eyes as an infant in a manger. Lift my eyes Lord to see You as You are!
