I reflect on the ability of this heart to love and be loved. It seems to grow with age, to branch out, to open, to absorb the heart of others and in return nourish my own. It is the heart of Christ in me…the heart of Christ in you.
Let us remember these words from Jesus in Mark 12:30-31 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, is this: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”
