The Dawning of a New Day!

Tuesday, November 8, 2016 was a day I will NEVER forget! Donald J. Trump, riding the wave of an unprecedented movement  (We the People), was elected to be the 45th President of the United States. Against all odds, and having been counted out again and again, He won the presidential election in the biggest upset in modern political history. “We the People” spoke with a resounding voice and finally we were heard!

The path to the White House was a long and arduous one. It began with 17 Republican candidates, among who was Dr. Ben Carson, who created the “We the People” movement. It was quite a contentious primary season and when the dust settled, there was one man left standing – Donald Trump. Going forward to the general election, he faced a formidable opponent in Hillary Clinton. The national Presidential campaign was brutal. Everyone said that someone who was NOT a politician could NEVER win the Presidency. It was virtually the 2nd American Revolution, and Donald Trump triumphed.

During his Rally in Gettysburg, Donald J. Trump presented a game-changing plan for his first 100 days in office. This revolutionary “Contract with the American Voter” will ensure that America’s economy is revitalized and citizens are protected. Please take the time to check it out: Trump’s Contract with the American Voter

Upon winning the Presidency, Donald Trump said “It is time for us to come together as one united people. I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all Americans. For those who have chosen to not support me in the past, of which there were a few people, I am reaching out to you for your guidance and your help so we can unify our great country”.

During his first speech as President-elect, Trump said “As I’ve said from the beginning, ours was not a campaign but rather an incredible and great movement made up of millions of hardworking men and women who love their country and want a better and brighter future for themselves and for their family.” He continued “It’s a movement comprised of Americans from all races, religions, backgrounds and beliefs who expect our government to serve the people, and serve the people it will. Working together we will begin the urgent task of rebuilding our nation and renewing the American dream. I’ve spent my life in business looking at the untapped potential in projects and in people all over the world and that is now what I want to do for our country. Tremendous potential…’s gonna be a beautiful thing. Every single American will have the opportunity to realize his or her fullest potential. The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.”

Trump’s transition has already begun. He has met with many ranking politicians in Washington D.C., is reaching out to leaders in many countries and is working to build his cabinet. Many world leaders, including Putin and those from Canada, Mexico and have already declared that they are willing to work together with Trump.

Some other promising news:

Once again we will have close ties with Israel – which is very important. They have been put to the sidelines for much too long.

Franklin Graham and other Christian leaders will be welcome in the White House for the first time in 8 years, to counsel with our President.

President-elect Trump has put together a very informative website, where you can share your ideas, an area for service, view Trump’s platform and so much more. Have you EVER seen a President-elect do anything like this???? Take some time and check it out:   President Elect Donald J. Trump

Remember to thank God for all he’s done for us! With His help, We the People were able to see our prayers answered. We have been given a great opportunity, but “We the People” still have a lot of work ahead of us. We must begin to bind the wounds and seek to unite a broken America! No matter your political party, we are ALL Americans and it is time to unite as one people behind Donald Trump and begin to Make America Great Again! Let’s get out there and show the world what “We the People” can do!

This is the dawning of a new day for America. My prayer is that with faith, unity and hard work, we will finally be one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

PICC gave me a window to my dream and an opportunity to share my thoughts with others. Our faith is strong and I don’t know where we would be without it. We are determined to spread a little sunshine in a darkened world. I've been married to my wonderful husband for 14 years. I have two children of my own and Emery has two children.
