What Are You Thinking?

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?

We are informed in Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Many times that high place is in our thoughts. The highest place on our body, the head. So, where do our thoughts come from? What are we thinking? 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 makes us aware:

 

The battleground is our minds; and the war is about upsetting our stability in our faith. Look at the emoticon for a second. See the various thoughts that can enter in and upset us and entrap us? Your peace will be gone, there will be no joy in God and fear can set in. But the Lord tells us that we are mighty in Him and we have the ability to pull down strongholds and imaginations that wars against the truth and the knowledge we have of the Lord and His plans for us.

We are to arrest our thoughts and bring them captive to the obedience in Christ. 

Romans 12:1-2 says,

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

How should we think? Does the Word tell us how to think? Absolutely! God does not want us to be ignorant of these things. Philippians 4:8 (NIV)

 

 “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” 

 

So, what are you thinking? Is it true? Is it noble? Is it right? Is it pure? Is it lovely? Is it of good report? Is it true? Is it praiseworthy? Okay, then. Think on these things.
